  • It’s an online sustainability curriculum designed for early childhood centres and primary schools (ages 3–10), created by the dirtgirlworld/Get Grubby TV team. It includes 10 themed units—each four weeks—with videos, activity kits, music, educator notes, curriculum mapping, and printable certificates.

  • dirtgirl, scrapboy and costa the garden gnome are beloved characters from the TV series dirtgirlworld and Get Grubby TV (ABC Kids).

  • The Get Grubby Program for Educators is suitable for early learning centres (childcare, preschool, kindergarten), family day care, OSHC, vacation care, libraries, primary schools and homeschools.

  • The Get Grubby Program for Educators includes:

    • 10 sustainability units (4-week adventures each)

    • Videos featuring dirtgirl, scrapboy & Costa

    • 10 downloadable 40–60-page PDF learning kits plus screen-based versions

    • Printable activity sheets, mission charts, certificates and colouring sheets

    • Pinterest-inspired extension ideas

  • The Get Grubby Program for Educators is mapped to:

    • Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

    • Australian Curriculum (version 9.0)

    • NSW Curriculum

    • Victorian Curriculum

  • The current price for a 2‑year educator subscription is AUD  $900 (discounted from AUD  $1,500).

  • To subscribe, visit the dirtgirlworld shop and complete the online checkout. GST will be added to the cart at checkout once you filled out your address.

  • You’ll receive an email with a link to create/activate your Centre or School account, giving you full access to memeber-only website and program resources.

  • Some centres and schools already have access thanks to the generosity of local Councils or sponsoring businesses. To check if your centre, school or service is covered, contact us via the Contact Form and let us know your location and centre or school name.

  • Your subscription is active from 2 years from the activation date.

  • Pausing your subscription is generally not available, but in extenuating circumstances (such as extended closures due to fire, flood or other natural disasters), we may be able to pause your subscription upon request.

    Cancelling early is possible, but no refunds are provided. You'll retain full access until your subscription expires.

  • Most activities use everyday materials or natural items. Optional larger projects (e.g. compost bin, veggie patches) may require supplies, but reuse and repurpose are encouraged.

  • Each 4‑week unit is flexible:

    • Many activities take 30–60 minutes

    • Projects like gardening or worm farming may need longer

  • We offer bulk discounts and tailored packages for businesses, organisations, councils and not-for-profits subscribing multiple sites. Contact us via the Contact Form to enquire about a package to suit you.

  • Yes! All three characters appear throughout the Get Grubby Program via videos, songs and themed activities. They help bring sustainability to life in fun, relatable ways for kids aged 3–10.

  • A visit from dirtgirl, scrapboy or Costa the garden gnome is not included in the standard Get Grubby Program subscription.

    However, they do offer live visits, workshops and performances on request!
